Another important consideration is the 'need' for multiple Building Codes. The National Building Code is adopted by provinces through legislation - yet four provinces ONT, QUE, AB and BC seem to think they need there own BLDG Codes - and then municipalities also jump in with additional code regulations. So, agreed - standardized zoning rules and just use the National Building Codes.
