Anyone interested in this should look up what BC's citizen's assembly did in 2002 - 2004. Just a really interesting process they went through. They recommended a modified STV system (BC-STV), with a MMP system as their second choice. BC voters voted 58% in favour of switching to BC- STV, which unfortunately was below the 60% threshold the government had set, so nothing changed. Really disappointing.
