Excellent article. In terms of point #1 though, I do wonder how an increased emphasis on remote work in the future would mitigate this challenge. It is understandable that high housing costs do indeed price people out of urban areas such as the GVA and GTA, where the most productive jobs - tech and finance - are located. But in the future if we experience a greater proportion of those working those jobs remotely (with the salary and productivity remaining the same), while residing in smaller/more affordable communities, perhaps this negative impact will hopefully subside.
