Agree with everything . I would add that the bedroom community model has a lot of deficiencies as a social model. Cities turn into a place for the elderly, well off and poor people.

Kids who grow up in these bedroom communities are also damaged in that they don’t have the opportunities in terms of programs, education, co-op placements and summer jobs you would get in a larger community. Their class can’t just hop on a bus and go to a museum. They don’t see their mom or dad as much because of the long commute.
